Shared Content: How it works

How to share content across multiple properties.

What is Shared Content?

Guidey™ Editor provides you with the functionality to create content once and share it across unlimited, multiple properties with just a single button click.

How to create shared content

  1. Log in to, or navigate to the home page of the Guidey™ Editor.
  2. Within the 'Profiles & Shared Content' section, click on the 'Shared Property Content' link.
  3. Click on one of the categories (e.g. 'Welcome and Arrival')
  4. Choose the item you wish to modify and click on the 'Edit' button on the right of the item title.
  5. Edit the required details within this section and click 'Save'. Once the save action is completed the item is now set up as a shared property content item and ready to apply to your properties.

How to apply shared property content to a property

  1. Log in to, or navigate to the home page of the Guidey™ Editor.
  2. Click on the property that you wish to edit.
  3. Click on a category that has shared content set up (e.g. 'Welcome and Arrival')
  4. A 'Shared Content' section should be visible under the page title. This section displays all shared content items that have been set up within this category.
  5. Click the 'View' button to preview the content item if required. Click the 'X' button the close the pop up.
  6. Click the 'Add' button to apply the shared content item to your property. Once this action has completed and a check mark appears to the left of the shared content item then the shared content item has been applied to your property.
  7. You can repeat this process on other properties and add the same shared content item to as many properties as you wish.

How to set up shared local area profiles

  1. Log in to, or navigate to the home page of the Guidey™ Editor.
  2. Within the 'Profiles & Shared Content' section, click on the 'Local Area Profiles' link.
  3. Type a name for your local area profile and enter the nearest town or city, then click 'Create profile'.
  4. You can then add local places within each category.
  5. Once you've added at least 1 local place, your local area profile will be ready to apply to your properties.

How to apply shared local area profiles to properties

  1. Log in to, or navigate to the home page of the Guidey™ Editor.
  2. Click on the property that you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the 'Local Area Recommendations' category.
  4. A 'Local Area Profiles' section should be visible under the page title. This section displays all local area profiles that have been set up.
  5. Click the 'Add' button to apply the local area profile to your property. Once this action has completed and a check mark appears to the left of the local area profile then the local area profile has been applied to your property.
  6. You can repeat this process on other properties and add the same local area profile to as many properties as you wish.
